DCCX, the brief version

24 Oct

Bumpy, dry, dusty, technical.  Was in the second/third group; we could see the sharp end of the race for about half the time and then they just slowly pulled away.  Finished somewhere in 8th-10th.

Back home, my wife walks in the door:

“You still have dirt in your ear but a beer in your hand. Nice priorities.”

Update: Looks like I got 9th. Had to leave before the results were posted.  First top ten in a ‘cross race since the Eastern Collegiate Champs back in 1999.  And guess who the promoter was for that race?  Adam Myerson.  It’s all connected, man.
